Senator Power Systems products will be supported throughout their full life cycle. We only use ISO9001, AS9100 and ITAR certified manufacturing facilities that adhere to stringent quality and product assurance requirements. Senator Power Systems has extensive experience in procurement of all types of electronic components, from bare printed circuit boards to microcontrollers, MOSFET, Gate Drives, SMD and standard active and passives components as a result of our well-developed access to the global supply chain.

We have access to testing facilities and independent test houses where environmental stress screening (ESS) can be performed. The facilities and the team of experts are available to assist with your ESS testing requirements. All ESS testing will conform to MIL-HBBK-2164. Our aerospace sector products conform to FAA, EASA and other industry standards and regulations which require ESS testing. The vibration system, temperature and temperature-humidity chambers within the facilities are fully programmable to meet your specific requirements. We encourage customers to state their customization requirements relating to extended temperature ranges, high isolation barriers, varying switching frequencies, RoHS and REACH compliance, we will demonstrate how our products can meet your requirements. Compliance to RoSH and REACH is verified by authorized and regulated labs.

Our Test Equipment

Senator Power Systems has access to test equipment including variable programmable AC power source, DC power source, electrodynamic shaker, Sub-Zero temperature chamber and Sub-Zero temperature/humidity chamber. The test equipment can be programmed to meet the requirements defined in MIL-STD-810, RTCA-DO-160, MIL-HDBK-2164A and others. The equipment is regularly calibrated. Calibration certificates are available.

Benefits of Automated Test Equipment

There are many benefits associated with the use of automated test equipment:

1. Reduced Test Cycle

Manual testing of products involves a lot of time being spent by engineering resource in troubleshooting each test in order to progress the product to the next stage. By automating tests, the time required to test each individual product becomes consistent, therefore reducing individual test times. Overall test cycle times are reduced as the engineering resources can focus on ono-conformance issues that arise, rather than spending time carrying out the tests. As both product and test mature, a greater number of units will pass first time. This also significantly reduces test cycle times.

2. Minimal Operator Error

The main problem with manual test procedure is that the process itself contains many areas in which data input error may occur. Automated test equipment requires data input only once and prevents data input errors, this also helps in reduction of test cycle times as the focus becomes getting the product tested rather than spending time on data input. The testing procedure does not require engineering or troubleshooting skills. Engineering resources are only required when a test fails.

3. Consistency of Product & Test

The speed and accuracy of a manual testing process is determined by the skill of the test operator. With automated tests, the speed of the test and getting the product through the test can be achieved using fewer technically cable people. The consistency of the overall test result is also not determined by the skill level of the test operator. This again allows the engineering resources of the company to be put to better use on other issues.

4. Test Data Management

Using data loggers during testing enables fast analysis and tracking of test data which can help lead to improved product reliability and completion of the testing process. Our software interfaces allow for automated PDF to be generated and emailed to the customer. Low-cost bar coding and serial number tracking can be added to tests. The most important features of automated test equipment data management software are the statistical analysis that can be utilised, easily changing the limits of tests and improving overall process.
